| This summer my friend Judi Freeman, who teaches at the Boston Latin School, and I went to Bosnia and Rwanda. As history teachers, we wanted to be able to give our students a more personal understanding of the conflict which took place there between 1992 and 1995. Our route, roughly sketched above took us from Sarajevo - Mostar - Jajce - Banja Luka - Omarska - Prijedor - Donja Gradina - Jasenovac - Donja Gradina - Tuzla - Potocari - Srebrenica - Divic - Memic - Tuzla and ended back in Sarajevo. The goal of this web site is to share the experience of our trip, as well as to provide resources for a more in-depth study of the war and genocide. We would like to thank all those who made this trip possible - especially the International School of Prague and the Fund for Teachers in Massachusetts. |
